Berlin is almost synonymous with graffiti and street art. And this city has so many iconic places. One of the strangest places is probably Teufelsberg.
An artificial hill located in the former West Berlin in the north of the Grunewald. The hill towers about 80 meters above the Teltow plateau and rises 120.1 meters above sea level. The hill is named after the Teufelssee (Devil's Lake) that is located just a little further south.
The hill consists of rubble and covers a military-technical college (Wehrtechnische Fakultät) that was never completed by the Nazis. During the Cold War, there was an American listening station, Field Station Berlin (FSB), on the hill.
Over time, this has become a place where a lot of illegal graffiti has appeared. And big names have also left their "pieces" there.
As we speak, this area is under development. The largest street art museum in the world is going to be built there. And MooieMuur was invited to paint a prominent large wall on the outside of the museum.
